Walking to the War Memorial
Thursday 23rd March
On Thursday we all walked
down to the War Memorial. The children in Kotuku had made crosses for all the
people who had died after serving for NZ in different wars.
There were lots of people
at the war memorial. We remember the people who died in the wars. - Ava
The war memorial was fun
and we heard a lot of things and we got to stay by the Kotuku children -

I looked at the people that
died. I had lunch and we went down to the war memorial and the big kids went
with us. - Summer
My uncle was in the army
and he went down with us to the war memorial. - Kendra
My Grandad was in the
Second World War. It was fun at the war memorial and it was a bit boring. It was
amazing at the war memorial. - Kaylee
The Kotuku class took us
down to the War Memorial. We heard lots about the war from Kendra's uncle. -
